Overview
West is probably the place with the most popular landscape motives of Madagascar. Morondava is the starting-point to many unavoidable tourist sites of Madagascar, especially the Tsingy de Bemaraha NP, or the Baobabs Avenue. This journey gives you the opportunity to visit these places and feel their magic.
Walks are the best to explore the interior of the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park and to appreciate the nature and breathtaking landscape while visiting the park, so unique, that UNESCO classified it as part of World Heritage in 1990.
The second item on the bucket list for many travelers is baobabs trees – the ‘upside down tree’. The destination for most to view these most unique of trees is the world famous Avenue of the Baobabs. Allée de Baobab is a very impressive stand of trees and celebrated in photos and film.

Day by Day
Arrival at the airport Ivato, customs and visa formalities – about 1 hour. Pick up and transfer to the hotel.
Transfer from the hotel to the airport to your flight Antananarivo-Morondava.
Your next destination is the iconic “Avenue des Baobabs”. The Alley of the baobabs is a magical attraction for photographers from all over the world. A walk through the Avenue is a memorable experience.
You will also visit the amazing Lovers’ Baobabs and other Grand Baobabs.
You will stroll through Avenue of the Baobabs closer to the sunset: a magic show! Sunrise and sunset are the best times to visit these gentle giants when colours of the trunks acquire new shades and the shadows of the trees are the most pronounced, creating a more exotic atmosphere.
Morning visit to the Alley of the Baobabs for sunrise. After you will continue your journey to Bekopaka, gate in the Tsingy de Bemaraha National park. The road hither lasts a little long but the landscape which it offers is worth the pain.
Everywhere along the road there are the impressive Baobabs until Belo-sur-Tsiribinha. The southern landscape is arid but has a beauty all of its own.
*Ankeligoa Circuit: Circuit starts 17km north of the village of Bekopaka and presents gigantic limestone cathedrals, deep cracks, limestone blocks carved in blades or sharp peaks constituting an immense field of Tsingy. Admire the 360° panoramic view from an elevated gazebo on the roof of the Tsingy. Feel the empty space crossing a 20m long and 70m deep suspension bridge. Walk in the middle of the Tsingy arcades and descent to the bottom of a canyon and forest tunnel.
Return to Morondava.
Free time. Morondava is a a sleepy seaside town. It is an ideal place for a relaxing stay, since it is less crowded and (so far) devoid of beggars. The beaches are good and extend far to the north side of town.
Transfer to the airport to your flight Morondava – Antananarivo. Transfer to Andasibe by car (4-5h).
Today, inside the most famous national park of Madagascar, you will try to find the Diadem sifaka and visit the largest lemur of the Earth, the “normally coloured” Indri.
You just after breakfast, take an half day trip to visit the reserve of indri or, better known as the Analamazaotra Special Reserve, during which, you will certainly start to see the various species, including the indri, is the largest of the species of lemurs.
In the afternoon, you will get a visit to the lovely private reserve known as the “Island of lemurs”. The lemurs – brown, ruffled, dancing, lemurs galore. After that, you will visit the amazing private reserve Vakona, where you will find many Nile crocodiles.
Transfer to Ivato Airport for your international flight.
En-route you will stop at a park specializing in Madagascan reptiles and butterflies. You visit the exotic centre of Mr. Pereyras, Marozevo, where you will see chameleon species of Madagascar, butterflies, lizards, snakes and other interesting animals.

No special training is required. However, you should not have a fear of heights or dizziness. The trip is not suitable for people with limited mobility (in a wheelchair). For people whose mobility is limited due to physical or mental problems, as well as age, and whose condition requires additional assistance.
